    Hello Roy,

My mum has just given me you article to read in “Yours” magazine (June 29 – Jul 12 issue). What a surprise to discover you were a fan of The Eleanor Beam Breezy Babes. My mum was one! (Maureen Keane) and my Aunt (Joyce Turner). I have had a lifetime of listening to their wonderful stories about life with “Aunty Mo” (as they called Eleanor). Mum went on to perform with the likes of Budd Flannigan and Victor McGlagon (who wanted to adopt her). She was also in Billy Smarts Circus. Mum ran her own dancing school for over 40 years and put on many shows. She (and I) also taught a Pineapple Dance Studios for many years and had many a famous face in our classes. It would make mum’s day (she is now 78) if you could send her a message via my email address (I don’t think I should put her address up here!) One story you might me interested in: Whilst in Panto at the Adelphi with Budd she got her old headmaster a tutor position (as they had been let down by orignal tutor) and he continued to teach the girls for the whole run which I believe was the longest panto ever (16 weeks)
    Regards

I have just read the article about the retired greyhounds, we have 2 in our family george first into my stepsons family then Rosie into ours, they do make wonderful pets the love you give them you get back tenfold, they both came from a yorkshire rescue http://www.tiagreyhounds.org.uk please have a look at their website at the dogs needing homes but also the wall of shame, which tells you what a lot of people do not realise how these beautiful dogs are treated, many “disposed” of before 18 mths. If you are serious about a greyhound then please visit tia you can take a dog for a walk and meet the people who do this wonderful job which has totally taken over their lives. Deb is a very good judge of character both human and cannie and will find just the right dog for you and your family. please do take a look at the website.
    yours Caroline
