    Dear Roy and Debbie,

I’d love to have a chat with Roy sometime, for a story or comment on the UK’s most popular pianist. I missed the chance to chat with Roy, 10 years ago now…….I was pretty shy then !

  2. Dear Roy

    Here’s a funny thing…

Prepare to split your sides laughing, when I tell you that the BBC Trust has announced that the BBC is proposing to abolish BBC Radio 7.

That’s the digital radio station which repeats the contents of the BBC’s Sound Archives, and which regularly features your goodself and June Whitfield in various shows: The News Huddlines, Like They’ve Never Been Gone, The Newly Discovered Casebook of Sherlock Holmes, Huddwinks, etc.

BBC Management are proposing to abolish BBC Radio 7, and turn it into a
station that simply repeats current Radio 4 shows, re-launching it as ‘Radio
    4 Extra’.

The BBC Trust has launched a public consultation on this proposal.

To object to the station’s proposed abolition (if they act quickly enough to
beat the deadline set by the BBC Trust), visitors to your website can
contact the Trust to object, by using the following link -

    Kind regards,
    Stephen
